Spring has well and truly sprung here in Melbourne and after what felt like the longest winter ever; I cannot wait to jump back into my spring/summer wardrobe! With Melbourne Fashion Week giving us a taste for what’s to come in the way of fashion this season, I already feel like I have a lot of shopping to do! There were so many trends I was spotting on the runways this year, which I can’t wait to adopt into my wardrobe as the weather continues to warm up!
This season I really love all things masculine and will be opting for minimal colour tones, different textures and thin layers to create classic, easy looks. I will be pairing looks back with old-school-inspired sneakers, strappy sandals and thongs (which are still bigger than ever this year). I will be opting for bucket hats and caps over boat hats, and instead of floral dresses will be choosing linen trousers with singlets, as well as knee length shorts with oversized tees.
As Spencer Outlet Centre’s Style Ambassador, I was given the opportunity to create a few spring/summer looks using pieces and accessories only found at Spencer Outlet Centre. Thankfully the Centre has a huge selection of amazing retailers, making it super easy to create outfits that work for Melbourne’s changing climate!
Look one is a super chic, easy look I created using items found at Spencer Outlet Centre exclusively. I love the pairing navy with black, something that was once upon a time very frowned upon in the fashion world, and this look is exactly how I would pair the two tones together. The oversized tan tote is the perfect bag for throwing everything in during spring/summer! This is the kind of look that can be so easily dressed down with sneakers or thongs or dressed up with strappy sandals!
This look combines the cream top and skirt from Glassons with the bag from TK Maxx and navy top from Jac & Mooki.
Look two is a super easy look I created for running errands, coffee with a friend or just being outside and enjoying the sunshine. I absolutely love this trend piece backpack I found at TK Maxx by Coach. It really elevates the outfit and helps bring it together. This spring, I will be pairing everything with sneakers!
Much like the previous look the top and skirt come from Glassons with a bag from TK Maxx paired with shoes from Converse Authentic.
The final look I created is more of a day out look; it could easily be worn for a picnic, to the beach or for brunch on the weekend. It is what I would call more of a casual, easy to replicate look. The emerald green top adds a pop of colour and something a bit different too. The oversized coach bag was an absolute steal from TK Maxx and something I would wear really anywhere during the day!
This look’s skirt and jacket are brought to you by Cotton On, top is from Glassons and bag from TK Maxx.
This look is Spencer Outlet Centre’s Spring launch campaign featuring dress and bag from TK Maxx, shoes from Famous Footwear, earrings from Lovisa and scarf from Dotti.
